Escape the winter blues in sunny Florida

With the majority of us feeling well and truly sick of the cold weather, and with the summer sun still months away, many people are turning their minds towards getting a bit of winter sun to stave off seasonal affective disorder (SAD). There is nowhere better to escape the winter blues than Florida.
Miami – Possibly the most famous city in Florida, Miami is known for its sprawling beaches, wild nightlife, muscle-bound beach types, music, fantastic restaurants, and of course, for being the cruise capital of the world, where many ships port and offer tourists fantastic opportunities to go on some of the best and most well-respected cruises on the planet.
Orlando – One of the most family-orientated holiday destinations on the planet, Orlando is home to many theme parks and fun family activities to participate in at the Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando. You can 'ride the movies' at Universal Studios, or visit some of the Islands of Adventure, including the Marvel Super Hero Island, Jurassic Park and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It's a great place to take your children for some fun and sun.

Jacksonville – The first city of Florida is situated where the St John's river meets the Atlantic, giving it its identity as a key fishing and boating destination. As well as the many beautiful beaches, grand architecture and countless trips, Jacksonville also offers tourists a buzzing downtown area, which is home to fine-dining restaurants, great shopping and lots of entertainment. Soak up some sun and culture in Jacksonville.
Road trips – Perhaps instead of being based in just one resort, you wish to travel around Florida and experience a number of attractions? Then it would be highly recommended to rent a car and undertake your own USA road trip. This way you're not tied down to the one hotel or city and you can be spontaneous and go wherever your heart desires. Rent a vehicle and explore the Sunshine State.
Florida Keys – Just off the south-eastern tip of Florida lies a collection of 1,700 islands known as the Florida Keys, an excellent place to escape with a tropical climate that's perfect for getting some winter sun. You can get away from the dreariness of the winter and lounge on the many beaches, eat the local cuisine and rent a boat to go fishing. These islands have a relaxed, easy-going attitude and are unlike anywhere else in the USA.
